Competition is open to amateur writers only - those who do not sell works of writing, teach writing and/or poetry, and/or advertise as a professional writer.

Any subject matter is accepted. Exception: the fair committee reserves the right to reject entries that it determines to be pornographic, inflammatory, or offensive to community sensitivities.

3.

Any style of verse is accepted.

4.

Each poem will be limited to a maximum of 16 lines.

5.

Each poem must have a title.

6.

Each poem must be typed or neatly printed on a sheet of 8 1/2" X 11" paper. Each poem must be in a transparent cover sheet.

7.

No names are to appear on the front of the poem.

8.

On the back, bottom right-hand corner, print or type your name, address, telephone number, age and division to be entered.

9.

Only one entry per person will be allowed.
