The Pet Costume Contest will be held at the Grandstand on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 8:30 p.m.

Anyone can enter. Neither the pet nor its owner must be a resident of Amelia County.

There is no entrance fee.

Pets must be six months of age or older.

Pets must be healthy, free from parasites, and have a copy of their rabies shot certification.

Aggressive animals will not be allowed.

All pets must be on a leash or in a container. Pets must be under the owner's control at all times.

Owners must clean up after their animals.

All animals must leave the fairgrounds after the contest is over.

Only one pet is allowed per household.

Entry forms may be obtained at the fair office prior to the contest.

Ribbons or bow ties alone do not constitute a costume.

Judges' decisions are final. Judges may not award a prize if they do not feel any entry merits an award.
