Born and raised in Georgia, Doug started learning
guitar at the age of 5 from his mother, a country singer herself.
Working as a mechanic by day and playing at bars at night, he finally
came to national attention with his first album in 1990. It was quickly
followed by two more albums keeping him in the country tip five or
top ten with such titles as: "I'd Be Better Off (In a Pine Box),"
"Fourteen Minutes Old," "These Lips Don't Know How
to Say Goodbye," "In a Different Light," "Too
Busy Being in Love" and "Why Didn't I Think of That"
to name but a few.

Doug has survived a heart
attack and a plane crash, so he knows a thing or two about life
and death. If you want to know more, check his
website or look at his entry on Wikipedia
on the Internet. (His name isn't really Doug Stone, find out why,
and there is a list of all his music there too!) Come listen to
a guy who's paid more dues that most who sing country music.
